Planning approval for new dwelling at Cotes Avenue, Poole.
This highly constrained site presented a number of challenges from the offset – A previously unused and overgrown wedge shaped plot, a history of planning refusals, a number of TPO’s and topography that slopes down dramatically from road level. Turning these constraints into opportunities, we have developed this design for a perched ‘tree house’ that nestles into the hillside on a raised deck, floating above the garden floor below. The living spaces open up to generous sheltered terraces, with the upper floor enjoying distant views to the Purbeck Hills to the south.
The scheme gained planning consent at Committee in December 2016.
We look forward to developing detailed drawings for a start on site in 2017.
