Colehill, Wimborne

Working collaboratively with The National Trust and the Conservation Officer at East Dorset District Council, DMWA have gained planning consent to rebuild and extend this dilapidated thatch cottage in Cole Hill, Wimborne.

A condition of the consent was to rebuild the thatch cottage as a ‘like for like’ replacement, with a slate roof side extension and single storey roof lit garden room introducing additional accommodation. Providing a full service for the project, DMWA also developed construction drawings and building regulation plans, meeting the challenge of satisfying modern regulations using traditional construction techniques.
