DMWA were appointed as architects and lead consultants for the conversion of this existing public building set in a Grade II Listed park.
The brief called for the existing functions to be retained, whilst creating a vibrant public facility worthy of the historic setting.
The interior has been designed to respond to specific functions, with materials and colours responding to these.
The exterior has been upgraded in a sensitive fashion to sit comfortably in the landscape setting and respond to the modernist nature of the existing building
The compressed 8 week program meant coordination across the team was of critical importance. DMWA oversaw all design packages and worked directly with the main contractor to provide coordinated and cost effective solutions, in order that the program dates could be met and the project completed on time and on budget.
