The Lynes
Shroton, Dorset

DMWA were asked by the client to evaluate the feasibility of varying a previously approved annexe building on their plot deep within the North Dorset hills.

The existing building is an exquisite, symmetrical, non-listed pair of converted Victorian worker’s cottages built in stone.

The proposal was to create an annexe and sunken link/sunroom. The design needed to exploit views, sunlight and be sympathetic with its context.
