Our project for 2 new dwellings in Cole Hill, Wimborne is taking shape on site, with steel work partially erected for one of the houses. Due to the challenging site levels, Considerable groundworks have been required to accommodate the development, which addresses the sloping site with a partially subterranean access level which becomes elevated above ground level to the rear. With the suspended ground floor slab now in place for one of the houses, we can begin to fully appreciate the distant and private views that will form a backdrop to the open plan living spaces to both dwellings.
A facing brick masonry wall will enclose the ground floor, bedding the buildings into the landscape. A timber clad first floor has been conceived to then sit above the masonry, as a softer perched lightweight box.
Both dwellings incorporate double garages, 4 large bedrooms and open plan ground floor living spaces.
