The build is taking shape, with the timber frame now erected. The construction has been constrained by the boundary’s proximity to a railway embankment, overhand brick laying has been necessary to construct the rear wall where access has been restricted. Despite this, progress is racing along with completion set for spring.
In design terms, the two dwellings have been neatly fitted into a formerly redundant wedge of land. The efficient plans make provision for 2-3 bedrooms and open plan living spaces addressing private courtyards. The bedrooms will benefit from partially vaulted ceilings to add volume and interest. Providing full details and construction information, we have worked in collaboration with our client to establish a restrained but contemporary palette of materials and finishes.
