DMW Architects are very pleased to have gained planning consent for a new block if apartments within the Westcliffe Conservation Area in Bournemouth. The building makes provision for 22 flats arranged as 18 residential and 4 holiday lets. With a push towards sustainable transport the proposal includes secure and accessible storage for 30 cycles along with spaces for 14 cars, 7 of which are to be ‘active’ electric charging points.
The design of the building draws direct reference to the Victorian villas that characterise the Conservation Area, including features such as bay windows, balconies and tall window modules to create bright and modern internal spaces with external amenity and character.
We look forward to working with our client on the next stage and are excited to see this development come to life on site.
