Brownsea View Waterside Glass House

Brownsea View Glass House is a luxury residential property located on Panorama Road, Sandbanks, Dorset. Commissioned by a private client, this project called for a unique blend of modern design, functionality, and a deep respect for its natural surroundings - close to Brownsea Island and surrounded by mature woodland.

The backbone of the scheme is a strong, durable concrete structure, which is designed to weather with the exposed coastal conditions. The concrete frame which was developed with specialists from the outset is juxtaposed with lightweight glazing, which opens up the property to the stunning sea and landscaped views.

The house presents an angular glazed form that harmonises with the site's boundary and shoreline. The use of Virtual Reality in the design phase ensured every aspect of the property complements the site's unique features.

On approach, an entrance bridge leads to the home's primary living spaces. These rooms not only offer a spectacular view of Brownsea Island but also reflect the mature woodland and serene harbour thanks to the property's glazed elevations.

This glass house in Dorset exemplifies modern, waterside living. We've seamlessly integrated sea defences and enhanced the property's connection to its environment by utilising the elements of water and woodland in its design.
