DMW architects have secured planning consent for this modern family home, with stunning views of Brownsea Island.
The site is split between mature woodland and the sea, with the building acting as a transition between these. The principle living spaces are accessed via an entrance bridge creating a dramatic approach to the property.
The proposal is a very clear architectural diagram which is expressed in concrete and glass. The concrete structure has been designed as a robust frame which can withstand the exposed site conditions. Glazing has then been introduced as a lightweight counterpoint which will reflect the natural surroundings.
The building was designed using Virtual Reality to ensure that every part of the proposal maximises the unique characteristics of this amazing site.
Works are due to start in mid 2021, look out for updates
