DMW Architects, experts in conservation architecture, undertook the restoration of a 19th-century bell tower at the Rushmore Estate, a project blending heritage and innovation.
The once majestic bell tower atop the Jubilee Room (Historic England 1263540) had deteriorated over time. Its dismantled state, though fragmented, retained hints of its past beauty, evident in the turned balusters and carved arches. Leveraging our carpentry design proficiency and understanding of timber construction, we embarked on digital reproduction. This was akin to piecing together a historic puzzle.
Our blueprints were then crafted into the bell tower's structure by Jamie Ross Furniture. The reinstalled bell revived the chapel's historical ambiance.
