Located in Basingstoke, this project brings forth a blend of modern architectural creativity and historic preservation. Garnering planning approval and listed building consent, the development has managed to revitalise a set of Grade 2 Listed cottages, translating them from a nursing home back into their original residential use.
Designed by seminal architect Edwin Lutyens, the original set of cottages offers a distinctive character that resonates with the cultural fabric of Basingstoke. Converting these buildings into a multi residential development took strategic negotiation, careful planning, and innovative design. Through meticulous pre-application discussions with the conservation officer, our team championed the retention and conversion of these cherished buildings, reinstating their original footprint and fostering their transformation into homely residences.
